The Top Questions We Get Asked By New (Prospective) Customers

How much do you charge for a new small business web design?
The price varies depending on your needs. A simple 3 page informational (brochure) type of website may only cost you a few hundred dollars. A small business web site that is larger or requires a database or shopping cart may cost thousands. We discuss this further here. Just contact us if you have an idea of what you want and we can get you a quote.
Can you move my website away from my current web host?
Yes we can. Ideally, we need your FTP login for your web hosting account to get all of your web pages, images, data and so on. We will also need your login information for your domain registrar (,, etc.) so that we can repoint your DNS nameservers to your new web host.
Can you set up my website so that I can update it myself?
Yes we can! We recommend to most of our clients that they stick to editing their web site "content" (text, photos, news, etc) and leave the design (layout) itself alone to avoid "breaking it." Keeping your website content up-to-date is good for your customers and also the search engines. We install some inexpensive software on your website that gives you the ability to log in to any page and basically just start editing like you would do in a Microsoft Word document.
Can you take a look at my website and let me know what's wrong with it (i.e. make some recommendations)?
We certainly can. Our assessment will cover layout, ease of navigation, search engine optimization (SEO), speed (load time), quality of written content and shopping cart issues (if applicable). We also recommend that you consider a free consultation with your local small business development center as they offer similar services. Clarion University SBDC or Penn State's PennTAP both offer this service in western Pennsylvania..
What can I do to get better search engine rankings?
Most small business owners think that some minor changes to their website will shoot their business to the top of Google's search results. This couldn't be further from the truth! Successful Search Engine Optimization depends on a combination of many factors all being optimized toward your clearly defined goals. Our SEO Services page will help you better understand what's involved and give you some direction and a plan to go forward with.
Can you give me a "second opinion" on what someone is telling me?
Worried about being overcharged, conned into something you don't need or just plain ripped off? If you're looking for a second opinion regarding some type of web design related service that your web designer, web host or search engine optimization person is offering you or insisting that you need, we would be happy to give you a second opinion.
